THALI

// Thali is a modern, clean and simple space which offered both take-out and in restaurant family style dining. The flavors, colour and textures of South Indian cuisine are so beautiful in themselves that we felt the interiors should remain a natural backdrop for these platters of vibrant colours and textures. A simple palette of white and grey tones, light woods and calacatta statuario marble was used throughout along with copper accents that played off the copper Thali platters.  The subtle textured tile feature wall is a contemporary take on the intricate Indian motifs and is a contrast against the clean lines of the millwork, linear feature ceiling and wall as well as the furniture configuration. Traditional Indian references can be seen throughout in the old copper cookware and intricate wooden door which integrates well within the contemporary space.
