140 GLENORA

// One of the challenges that we embrace is designing infill projects is making the most of the constraints of a particular project.  At 140 Glenora St. we were faced with a typical challenge, crafting unique and engaging spaces on a narrow lot.  Our solution for this project was to create an inner courtyard along the side yard about halfway through the depth of the floor plate. Creating this courtyard effectively took a bite out of the floor plate, but in so doing it created an opportunity to add windows, allowing the entire floor to be bathed in daylight. This also created a stunning place for a feature stair, which climbs along a wall of windows and offers a view into the courtyard.
